Green Heat Program

The Chauffez Vert program is offered by Transition Energtique Québec (TEQ) and aims to encourage Quebecers to adopt more ecological heating and air conditioning systems. This program offers grants for the purchase and installation of wall-mounted, central, or geothermal heat pumps, as well as for other energy-efficient equipment such as programmable electronic thermostats.

The grants offered by the Chauffez Vert program vary according to the type of heat pump and its energy efficiency. For example, for the purchase and installation of a wall-mounted model, grants can reach up to $1,200, while for the purchase and installation of a central heat pump, grants can reach up to $3,000. Grant amounts for geothermal systems are even higher.

To be eligible for the Chauffez Vert program, you must meet certain criteria, including residing in Quebec, owning a house or residential building or renting a building whose area is less than 600 square meters and having an electric, oil, propane or natural gas heating system. In addition, the heat pump must be installed by a qualified and certified installer.

Renoclimat

The Renoclimat program is offered by the Quebec Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. It aims to encourage owners of single-family homes and duplexes to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. The program offers personalized advice on energy-efficient home renovations as well as grants to carry out this work.

Owners of single-family homes or duplexes that are over 10 years old can participate in this program. It consists of three steps.

Energy assessment

EcoPerformance Program

The objective of the EcoPerformance Program is to help businesses, industries, institutions and organizations reduce their energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This is a program funded by Transition Energtique Québec (TEQ) and managed by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Innovation (BEIE).

The EcoPerformance Program offers a range of financial assistance, consulting services and personalized support to encourage participants to adopt energy-efficient practices and to carry out projects to reduce energy consumption and GHGs. Participants can receive financial assistance of up to 50% of eligible costs for projects that are approved by the program.

Projects eligible for the EcoPerformance Program include energy efficiency measures, such as the installation of high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, the optimization of cooling and refrigeration systems, the establishment of heat recovery and solar energy systems, the implementation of energy control and management systems, the establishment of energy control and management systems, the installation of energy control and management systems, the installation of energy control and management systems, the insulation and sealing of the building envelope, the installation of eco-lighting systems energy, and the implementation of measures for optimization of energy production and distribution.

The NovoClimat program includes several energy efficiency requirements, including insulation, ventilation, heating, and lighting. To be eligible for the program, homes must be built in accordance with the requirements of the Quebec construction code and additional energy efficiency standards.
